$2500 will get you a really nice bike. At that price I'd be considering the Ridley Damocles with Rival for $2399 (link) or the Ridley Excalibur with Ultegra SL for $2399(link). I ride an 06 damocles and I think it's a great bike. Really, there are a ton of great bikes out there in your price range.

You might also find a Look 566 with Rival in that price range (link). I've seen them cheaper than that in shops.

As mentioned, the BH in that price range is great, and the other one I've seen in that range is the Wilier Mortirolo. I don't have anything against C-dale, Trek, or Specialized as they all make great bikes, but I do enjoy riding something a bit different than what most people are using. Lapierre also makes a bike or two in your price range that you might check out. As DM said though fit is pretty important, and a test ride will help you decide. Although I've posted web links to these bikes, I've seen them similarly equipped in LBSs for around the same price.
