My Competizione is probably a couple of years more recent than yours, but it's definitely racer-like: very little clearance with 700 x 25c tires, steep front end, not a lot of fork rake, no eyelets for fender or rack, i.e., not a good candidate for touring. I have no idea what "training" geometry is.
