Hi all
I'm going to get a new bike, mostly for commuting and day rides, random stuff. I want it to be durable and versatile. So I figured a MTB was the way to go. I want disc breaks, and front shocks, to save my wrists! Obviously, cheaper is better. And if possible, but not important, something that I can use parts off my 10 year old Rockhopper for, as a spare parts bike.
I live in Japan, and this site is probably thebest one for ordering stuff. LBS don't carry mid-high end bikes.

Im not familiar with brand names too well, but based on other threads I was thinking the Jamis Trail X3 fit the bill, but the sizing is sold out. I am 6' 185 pounds, so I think a 20" (50cm) would do. Which other bikes fit the bill? Are all the brands on that page about the same for the same price range?
