Good comment ... I've battled that incessant skipping. I replaced the chain last summer, then replaced the cog set right after that due to skipping under load. That's when I went to the 13-23 (didn't ever use the 12). I have gone back and forth adjusting the RD barrel, but can't seem to get it right.
