I picked up my bike with a 48x19. Love how it feels, hate how it looks. Also, my fitness has improved a lot since I got it, so when I get back from my honeymoon it's gonna be waiting for me with a new 16T cog. No, I don't skid, and now I've got a better excuse for as long as I'm rockin' the 16.
I actually wanted to go to a 17, and called the bike shop over a week ago to say "I want to bring my bike in on Fri, pick it up on Wed, and I want a black 17T cog put on it" and they were like "Just bring it in on Fri, we'll go over what you want, we'll do the work on Mon and it'll be ready on Tue." Great! Go in today and the story is "No, we don't have any 17's in stock. No, we're not really doing much ordering right now - might take a week or two to get one. Here's a nice Dura-Ace 15T, want that?" The dug around and found a 16 for me. WTH, I'll give it a shot. It'll look great if I'm able to push it. If not, it should help me HTFU.
