Thanks to all who submitted opinions. I got exactly what I was looking for. My ride is late 80's so the back wheel is pretty tight to the seat post and it's very responsive.

I saw a bunch of cool track bikes yesterday at the Tour Da Chicago so it got me wonderin' if I was missin' out on something.
