I have a standard on mine and a 13/26 in back. I've yet to feel like I need more gears to get up hills. That said, I am looking to swap it out for a compact in front. I tend to spin 105-110 on flats and I like 90 on the hills, so lower gearing would be a big help. I don't usually get into the big ring in front until speeds are breaking 20.
I have a Sram S300 Compact Cyclocross Crank with 110 BCD spacing.
