I have a stable full of bikes of all kinds, and a wife that rarely rides. Yesterday I was doing some thinking about this and it occured to me (yes, I'm slow) that she did not have a bike of her own, except for the back seat of a tandem and a heavy english five speed roadster. I truly believe she would ride more if she had an updated lighter single. We are not talking extended tours here, only short day rides and running some errands. Probably a little commuting, too, since we do not live that far from her job.

So, here's my question. My favorite bike for commuting and general utility use is my Specialized Sirrus. I thought this would be a good bike for her, too. Unfortunately, she's rather girly and doesn't like the colors of the 2005 base model sirrus (red or black) because she considers them too masculine. Anyone know of a similar bike that may be available in a wider range of color? Course, she would LOVE pink, but that isn't likely to happen and I am not inclined to buy a new bike and repaint it.
The basics: 700 X 28 maximum size rims/tires
small frame, (she's only 5'2")
flat handlebars
Aluminum tubing (or a light chromoly)
Not very expensive, $500 or so.
