Also, I think the reason that myself and many others bought the 9 is because of the price of replacement in the event of a crash. That's what makes the frame very attractive.
This thread got me thinking - and so I emailed Mike (mr. spooky himself) He has been a really excellent ambassador for his gear, as well as a range of thoughts about frame properties of Alum, BB30, & random stuff. He does have a crash replacement program for his frames, and it is priced quite similarly to Cdale's.
He is all about personalized service and being upfront about his work.
