Are the insides of the BB's and headtubes in carbon bikes coated with clear or paint?
I've never heard of grease "attacking" carbon, but it sure can lubricate it nicely, making it tough to clamp carbon bars, seatposts, etc.

A good carbon assembly paste is a must-have substitute for regular grease on a CF bike... I like the Tacx stuff personally.
