I've use MKS with nylon toe straps, and have even gone without, but been thinking about giving the Egg Beaters another shot, I didn't like them the first time around but I don't think I was being fair as I only rode them for around 25 miles.
plus I've got this cornball pair of shoes, I think I hate them due to the fact that they are "colorful" and are a bit to narrow for my feet, a few guys I know tell me "thats the way they fit man." but I like to be comfortable when I ride, and these shoes ain't it! They are actually MTB shoes but I couldn't see spending more money on another set.
Don't know why they look rusty and beat in this pic as they are almost new.
