If people are uncomfortable in their drops, I would hazard to guess that their bike is setup more to look good in pictures on BF.net than it is to match the fitness of the rider.
Maybe your fit isn't good enough that you can ride a race efficiently from the hoods.
Or maybe you don't have the technique down to race from the hoods. My bike is setup how I need it to be, and I have no issues cornering at speed or drafting someone while on the hoods.

I think my point was missed. I'm not talking about power output. I'm talking about having more control of the bike. I personally don't feel as in control of the bike in the hoods compared to the drops. It's why you'll never see me taking a high speed turn in the hoods.
