broken crank

a CCM is a Bike from Canada.

mrcts is the crank arm or the pedal broke? either a 9/16 or 15mm (on or the other not interchangable) wrench should remove the pedal or what is left of it. turn towards the rear of the bike. either pedal turn towards the back.

do you have a pic? there are three basic types of cranks and I have no idea which you have. the most common in recent years is the 'cotterless' where the crank arm is press fit on a square spindle in the bottom bracket. you need a socket wrench either a 14 or 15 to remove a nut or bolt. then you need a special tool to pull the crankarm off the spindle.
