Hiya. Name's Dave usually. Raul when doing organizing, radio dj-ing, general political activism..... so forth. I am currently living in & around Burlington, Vermont. Or Varmint as I prefer. I am 39 - Forever.

My background includes heavy immersion in the sciences and political theory. Took many psychology courses while milling about at Harvard. Organic chemistry at MIT - ended up tutoring others in chemistry starting at age 14. How the heck did I do that? Because I did the best thing ever - I dropped out of public school at age 12.

After the screaming was over from my parents, and they realized this was for real and no turning back, my Father gave me the best gift of my life. As a professor emiratus at MIT, he got me an MIT Affiliate Card. This opened the doors to wander into any college/university. Audit courses as I pleased. And virtually living in the research libraries. At age 16 I became a teacher at the progressive liberal-arts college I attended for high-school. So you might say I'm a bit auto-didactic.

I still have my MIT Affiliate's card. And I still use it.

My passion for bicycles also started at 12 years. I believe them to be the greatest mechanical invention of the human-race.
