No, I get that perfectly clear. That is why I chose, after performing a visual inspection of my BD bike, to take it to my bike shop for that QC check and set up. I paid $80 for the service as oppose to the higher markup the LBS has to add on to the bikes they sell to cover the labor costs, store leases, insurance, etc, etc,. BD recommends that their customers do this. It's up to each customer to make that choice.
FWIW, the response the OP in that other thread received from Chicabike was terrible. I read other threads where she responded to other similarly. I also read where Mike (BD) was going to address those concerns.
