I love the build quality of my Assos but they really aren't more comfortable for me than anything else so I just bought a pair of Pearl Izumi Pro bibs (paid $90 online). They are more comfortable for me than the Assos and have a thicker and softer chamois than the Assos. I don't know about the cheaper PI's but the Pro's have a very nice chamois.
Good point... for clarification, I meant my PI Ultrasensor chamois is hard compared to the Uno. I've never ridden the Pro.
