20 years of road riding and zero crashes. mtb is a different story. crashes in my group are worth a pat on the shoulder and a beer, depending on their severity. when i was a kid, i was flying through a parking lot on my bmx'er with some friends. i lifted the rear a little too late when trying to bunny hop one of those parking blocks -- the back end popped up and i landed doing a full-speed front manual. so of course, i stabbed the front brake and ended-up wedged under the back of a parked car. my parents had just bought me a full face bmx helmet, so i was lucky to get out of that with a few minor scrapes.
