If you found glass in the tire and hole on the outside of the tube every time, then you obviously need much heavier tires for your route. But it could be other things like rim tape problems etc. I once had a series of mysterious leaks. It turned out they were caused by a tiny strand of steel wire embedded in the tire. I couldn't see it nor feel it, until I literally turned the tire inside out.
I get flats far more often than my riding friends when we ride the exact same roads. A variety of "things" are getting through these tires causing the flats. I've had both the front and back tires off numerous times and have gone over them in minute detail looking for something, anything I may have missed that was causing repeat flats. I've come to the conclusion that the tires just really are not that flat resistant and am ready to give something different a try. I'm leaning towards the Marathons.
