Yeah a Phil Woods would be nice, but I don't think I want to spend that much money on a bottom bracket. One of the things I have noticed is some of the crank sets ship with the bottom bracket.

I assume that old 6/7 speed chain rings would not work well in a 9 speed set up. I have a few actual old school touring triples that I could use. They would only require a $20 square taper bottom bracket.
