Good for you. I just ordered one last Sunday as well and also ordered a set of 48 spoke wheels. The rear wheel is being converted to 135-vs- the tandem 140. The rear will only take a 7 speed cassette so I am having trouble finding shifters.
Anything that runs in friction mode would work, e.g., old Deore or Suntour thumb shifters, bar-end shifters in friction model, etc.
