I've checked the bike shops here in town (there are six) and the average lowest price for a road bike is $720 with the lowest price for a Fuji Newest (I'll assume the 4.0 from the price) at $450.
Anyone care to comment on the Fuji Newest? Pros? Cons?
I tried one when i was looking for a beater road bike... decent for what it is, only con is downtube shifters, but at 450 it's not too bad for a first bike.
