Hello everybody!

I just want to say hello. I'm kind of new to the c&v world. In fact, I'm new to the cycling world as well!

To make a long story short, I got interested in cycling by the Tour de France. As I'm a student (read: I don't have much money), I said to myself, why not to get an old ten speeds?

I had good reasons for that: I wanted to get back in shape, I needed a light bike to climb the stairs to my appartment, and I figured I could get a decent bike for not much.

Learning that I was looking for an old Peugeot (this was the only bikes I'd know then--a month and a half ago), my step father told me he had an old Peugeot that he gave to a friend which he knew never really used it. So the bike went back and now it belongs to me! It cost.......0$!

I'm really happy to have it and I say have it, cause I can't ride it. It needed a really good cleaning, new tires and a rear brake. The bikes is in the process of being cleaned right now and I need to order parts for it. The nice thing about it is that, apart form the rear break, the bike is in original condition and fearly ok. Even the tires date from 1975! (I'm figured with my stepfather the bike was bought around 1976 so it is wether a 75 or 76)

Now I just need to figure how to post pics!
