Maybe you're a better rider than I am. Maybe I ride on rougher surfaces. Maybe you drank the "racers use 'em, so they must be right" Kool-Aid. Maybe i like the comfort of 35s at 80 psi. For sure, though, I've ridden the same 25-mile commute close to 3000 times since 1979 on tires from 23 to 41mm, and the difference in speed between 23s at 105 and 35s at 75 isn't consistently measurable. Hard, skinny tires have more drawbacks than advantages for the riding I do.
