I think the question is more directed to converting to electric shifting, so not impossible, but very difficult. You will need strong motors, a good battery, a few buttons, and some crazy electric know how, and then you will need to find a way to make it better than whatever you already have, so that last one will probably not happen.

You could make an electric shifting system, but your current model is probably better.
