The Angus has more traditional track geometry than the steamroller. The steamroller is not track...at all.

Yes, threadless is really superior to quill. Everytime you take your handlebars off on quill you have to undo your tape. On threadless, you don't have to take off the tape b/c it has a removable faceplate. The Angus is going to be a very very good bike, check it out. Sounds perfect for what you want.
