I agree. This is still new and for that much money, I'd let the early adopters work out the teething problems first. Shimano is much further along with electronic shifting than Mavic ever was and apparently way ahead of Campy at this point but it's still pretty new to the market.
I do think the installation would be pretty straight forward and, as I said, Shimano does provide very good technical info with their products.
BTW, where did you see the $2000 group price? Colorado Cyclist still lists it for over $3200.

Just follow shimano's instructions. Park tool also has a tutorial on it as well.
