Bikes: Homebuilt steel

Prestige was sold in a fairly wide range of different thicknesses and butting configurations so it's hard to judge how any particular frame would ride based on the tubing sticker.

As a general rule, Prestige would be considered medium thin by todays standards. The metal is quite strong which allowed Tange to draw the tubes thin without risk of tube failure.

Modern tubing has grown in diameter compared to days of old. Prestige was offered in a wide array of diameters but the industry has made further developments since Tange stopped making frame tubing several years ago.

Hope this info helps.
