In my own quest for kid-hauling, I think I'm honing in on a used tandem bike with the tag-a-long and then the bike trailer behind. I think it'll grow with us more than the Madsen... although... if I WON a free Madsen... I'd be loving that!
MamaC, I know you mentioned used Tandems. However, I figured I'd throw out that new
Worksman Tandems aren't too shabby on prices. Though they'll be heavier (yet sturdier) than an Aluminum Tandem.
