Eggbeaters have either 5 or 15 degrees of float, depending on which foot you put which cleat (I might be off on the numbers, but I know one of them is 15 deg.). Anyways, by far, the easiest, most consistent entrance or exit of any clipless pedal system I've used. I have the Mallet C's and the Eggbeater SS (1st gen 1,000's and 1,000's of mi) and had zero problems. Still don't have to rebuilt the Eggbeaters yet.
And when it comes time that you have to rebuild your not very expensive pedals from the start, you can do so by buying a 15 dollar kit! Then your good as new. Grade A pedals
I think for the float thing its if you have the cleat with the two circles you have 15 degrees and if you have that cleat on the right its 20. Maybe i have those mixed up
