Correct, the 10 spd Powerlock is not reuseable like the 9 spd Powerlinks. I'm with you and am fairly meticulous with chain maintenance. That's what I loved about the Powerlinks, easy to disconnect/reconnect and nothin' says clean like a good chain soakin'.
I'b be interested to learn of compatible master links, too.
