When did "Go ahead" start meaning "No"?
A couple of weeks ago, I told my wife that I was thinking of buying a bicycle for exercise. She immediately gave me grief about things that I have started but gave up after a while. But eventually she said "go ahead if that is what you want to do".
So I bought a Trek 7.2 FX. Was she thrilled? Ouch. After 36 years of marriage, I should have known. Anyway, she is willing to support me if I use it.
I'll be 70 in a couple of months. While not too overweight, I am out of shape. The only exercise I get is a weekly golf game, jumping to conclusions, and running off at the mouth.
I took the bike out for a short spin this morning, about 4 miles of fairly level riding. Weather was perfect, the bike handled like a dream.
