internal gear vs derailer vs single speed.

Dear all,

I would like to know.
If I have 3 identical bikes.
But bike number 1 is equipped with internal gear hub.
Bike number two is equipped with a single speed freewheel.
And bike number three, with a rear derailer.
All three bikes are set at the same gear inches.

Question:
Will they ‘feel’ different? Or exactly the same?
Has there been a scientific measurement, say, to measure the drag of the pedals?

All this time, I ‘feel’ that the gear hub is ‘heavier’ compared to a simple single speed set up.
But ‘feel’ alone, I believe, is not as valid as a real lab research…
So,
Please let me know.
But please….
Not based on your ‘feelings’

Thanks a lot..
