Hmmm...it's in the big/big gear in the picture and it hasn't exploded. You souldn't use that gear so as long as it doesn't blow up, no problem. And I have had a setup that was one link too short - it jammed when I accidentally shifted into the big/big. The simple? work around would be to swap that small ring to a 32. Yeah I know, you probably can't just run out and buy one.

But why put anything ShimaNO on that beautiful bike? How about an appropriate Campagnolo Rally? Honestly I don't know if it could handle your gear combination any better but it would sure look a lot better.

Now my question...why is your IRD freewheel not shiny nickel silver? That's my only gripe about IRD. But yours doesn't seem to have that problem. Or is it just the grease?
