I agree with hillrider. get the longer one. there is not much difference and you can add a few spacers. this way should you get a headset with a taller stack height than you have now, there is space for it. I never cut a fork with less than an inch or so of extra lenght unless the customer spefically wanted it cut. also on a threaded fork you will get an extra 20mm of heigh out of your quill if you do not cut it.
