I'm helping my friend shop for a used mountain bike. Currently I've been offered a 2006 Kona Kikapu Deluxe (spec's here) for $400. Shifters have been upgraded to X0 gripshifts and the rear derailer to an X9. The Hayes brakes have been switched to Avid BB5s and the wheelset is a generic disc (no more information). Otherwise the bike is stock. Seems like a relatively good deal to me if it's in good condition like he claims. I don't want to steer my buddy wrong so thoughts and comments are appreciated...
