Oh yeah, and the whole thing should cost less than a grand more or less.

After searching here and company websites, here's what I've been able to come up with so far that meet my criteria:

Bianchi San Jose
Masi Speciale Commuter
Salsa Casseroll
Surly Steamroller
IRO Phoenix
Mercier Kilo WT
SE Lager
Swobo Crosby
Swobo Del Norte
Motobecane Fantom Cross Uno

Any bikes you can think of not on my list that meet the criteria?

Once I have a complete list I need to start comparing a group of bikes that seems to have not only apples and oranges, but an avocado or two as well.

It's going to be used as my daily commuter. I'm not in a lot of traffic, so part of me thinks I might prefer the longer wheel base on the Masi, for example, but another part of me wonders if I'll even notice the difference.

I won't get to test ride the Salsa, Surly, IRO, Mercier or Motobecane, which puts those bikes at a disadvantage when it comes to my purchase. I'll be searching the site for reviews on these bikes. But if you haven't chimed in on those earlier threads and have some good info, especially as it may relate to more current models of those bikes, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks.
Motobecane Jury. I just build one. I'm not running it with fenders or HUEG tires though. Rides great and only $200!
