The ride ..., it was quite a nice turnout of commuters, messengers, the-bike-lane-on-bloor-people, parent riding with their kids, and folks et al. It was chilled and subdued with the police providing ROW access during red lights(tyvm). Near the end the whole mass from it's 'parking' at Bloor and Avenue, all moved right to allow an ambulance though. The CM trumpet guy was there doing his thing and a guy blowing a conch(sp?) shell. I found the shell eerie, gave me chills for some reason.





as for holding on... I'd call it an OMFG fear response.
