Ok, so I went to look at these bikes from this CL ad http://topeka.craigslist.org/bik/1352444102.html. Everything was crap except the one with the child's seat. It's a Hercules 3 speed, and it had a bike registration sticker from I think 68, so it's at least that old. The rear hub is pretty rusted and the shifter is broken, the grips are hard and a little cracked.

It's an old guy with the bikes and his daughter put the ad on CL. It originally listed $25 for all bikes with no mention of a different price for the Hercules. I offered him $20 for it and he said he wouldn't sell it for less than $35. Considering the ad said $35 I was kind of irked and told him no thanks. Afterwards I emailed his daughter back and politely suggested that she might want to change the ad if he wasn't going to sell for that price. She apologized and said that if they don't sell the bike by this weekend they will sell it to me for $20.

Should I email her back and say I'll buy it for $35 or should I just wait and see if I can get it for $20 if it doesn't sell?
