I find that people don't listen to people insulting them. I found this to be true in a variety of situations and subjects; i.e., in the classroom, pub, ballpark, and so on. Since you ask, I avoid giving it a label. I simply describe sidewalk cycling and curb-hugging and then present an alternative.
