If you tilted them down a bit. the middle position would be great for out of saddle efforts, climbing or sprinting, and the end position would allow resting forearms on the wide grip platform, sick for long pulls on level terrain at speed. Have you thought about tilting them a bit less? To hold the ends with forearms on grips would require a very different tilt. The higher the bar ends point up, the lower your elbows will be pointing down.
