I gathered firewood, and got out for a short (very short) mtn bike ride today with Rowan on the property where we live. That was the first time I've been on a bicycle since I was admitted to hospital about 5 weeks ago. It's all in an effort to lose weight and get back into shape again as I recover from my DVT.
Glad to see you're back on the bike again, start small and work your way up again. Your fitness will come back quick.
Long weekend here in the states, with spectacular weather here in New England yesterday, cut out of work early, rode to the bike shop, hooked up with a couple people down there and did 40 miles in near perfect conditions (warm with no wind).
Another nice day today, getting ready to do another 50 before I have to come home and do chores.
No ride tomorrow, helping the wife get the place ready for our Labor Day cookout.
And then Monday I'll do my annual Labor Day ride, 70 miles along the same Labor Day route I've done for the past 5 years.
Riding conditions don't get much better than Fall in New England.
