Holy ****ing ****. I decided, after reading this post, that I should check my bike out and guess what? My left seat-stay weld is ****ing cracked too! At first I thought it might have just been paint, like you said, but after I wiped all the dirt and gunk out (last night) it started to seep grease (by this morning), the very same grease that I apply inside my seat tube! Goddamn it. This is going to be a pain in my *******s. I don't have another form of transportation, and I don't know what I'll do without a bike for however long this takes. Well, at least I've got that warranty.
