How is your fore/aft position now? Depending on how much rise your stem has, this change will likely lower your center of gravity considerably and stretch you out over the top tube more, so you may have to tweak over the next days/weeks. My bars/stem have always been lower than my seat. My steel bike has a classic 7 quill, so is not adjustable, but when I received my most recent bike, the stem had a rise that put it several cm's above the seat - felt like I was riding a unicycle, I was so upright. Predictably, I flipped it immediately and it instantly felt more like what I was used to. You'll benefit if for no other reason than your torso won't be as upright and catching all the wind like a sail. If you haven't ridden in this position before, make sure you bend at the waist - not your back - and keep your arms, neck and shoulders loose and relaxed. If you don't, you'll start experiencing fatigue and pain very quickly. Your back should be relatively flat and you shouldn't need to angle your seat at all unless you're not bending enough at the waist because not bending will mean your pelvis will rotate forward along with your back and put pressure on the areas you
didn't want too much pressure on

. Good luck...
