Hey gang - Sorry for the delayed posting. Well I have moved into my first home ever! It's a beautiful townhome outside of Atlanta - 3 stories, 3 sides brick and a bargain! Moved on Friday!
Saturday rode in a Metric century - MACC One Love, Sunday - had some friends over for a Bar B Que (my first time owning a Bar B Que!! Monday rode with the A group of my bike club C4. They tone it down on holidays (And winter base mileage training -s o I can ride with hem again soon too). We rode about 46 miles over some hills, a long dirt/rocky road...I told myself you will be ok. It’s ok as I pictured falling...rode downhill pedaling and using brakes and uphill juts tried to put it in a harder gear than I like - and be sure and pedal smoothly. Quite a workout - I thought maybe it was a secret ritual/initiation or something they saved just for the Yankee in the group. Anyway it was more due to a GPS route we used to get to our end point (One of the member's farms where we went and said hello to the horses and had a drink or two (The boys love their beer) and then rode up his steep driveway and back to our start.
Anyhoo - I thought I would lose 10lbs just walking up and down stairs in my new house..but not a drop.
So looks like you have to work at losing weight - but at least I am still in the 170s and not suffering the humiliation of gaining weight which was my life most of the time, so maintaining is a pretty good achievement too, thought I would like to lose 30 pounds...so let’s see how much desire I have... right now- I just want to maintain and then drop more when I get a new assignment and hit Subway again for most dinners.
Tuesday - Women’s Bike Ride
Wednesday - Try to ride to the path. May need to figure the route out. Buy a weight lifting DVD?
Thursday - Ride with C4 at horse park...
Friday - Lift again?
