I believe the hunters are afraid of their land being used by hordes of mtb. riders during hunting season.

Are bicycles not actually allowed on the trails now? If so, why are you violating the rule?

If they are wanting to put in additional trails for bikes, will hikers not be allowed to use them? Will these trails cross or run parallel to the hunter's trails?

Bikes can do quite a bit of damage to trails. Even though there are signs saying not to ride when it's muddy, there's always a few @ssholes who feel they don't have to follow rules. These are the same ones that never bother to help rehab a trail or pay the entrance fee at the honor box.
