Generally, a bike sold whole gets bought for less than the individual components sold separately would bring. If you happen to have the parts lying around, you could put them on and get more for the complete bike than you would for just the frame. However, I suspect that you could spend $200.00 buying parts that might increase what you'd sell it for by $150.00. The numbers are obviously hypothetical, but the principle seems to hold true the vast majority of the time.
