My longest ride was 142 miles, but it had 5+ hours at OVER 105*, AND I ran out of water. AND I was on a touring bike with 30 lbs of gear. Luckily it mostly downhill from Donner Lake to Sacramento.

My second-longest ride was 2 days before: 127.21 miles, from Sacramento to Donner Lake. 10,000 feet of climbing with 30 lbs of gear.

A quick side note to all those who eat Clif Bars: On the way up, I met this guy who was on an Orbea Orca, with full Di2 and Zipp 404 clinchers, so we rode along for awhile. We got to talking about long rides - turns out the longest ride he was ever on was 175 miles. You know on the back of the Clif Bar the story about riding 175 miles with his friend Jay and not being able to take another bite of "other" energy bars? Well, the guy I was with was Jay! Pretty cool.
