As much as I want to put my 10 y.o. boy in a road bike, he's just more interested in rolling over sidewalk curbcuts, jumping curbs, crashing, the irregular the ground the better and louder his laughs.

Honestly I'd hate to nag him about being more careful for something is supposed to be fun at his age so I'll wait 3 or 4 more years for a road bike, in the mean time he's doing great on a Trek Mt Track 240 with semi slicks. Just my 2 cents.
