even then a century is a good 6 hours and by myself I don't really want to ride much longer than that. I get bored, even looking at the scenery after 6 hours. Could probably add 2 hours on that if I had a ride partner with me. Otherwise I have no desire to ride much longer than that. I'm also usually in the mindset of a racer on most rides where if I have time to enjoy the scenery I'm not working hard enough.
