The Biggest Whatever Anybody Ever Saw!

This morning my ride friend Lesley and I started riding down U.S. 395 to do a Monitor Pass Loop. About 20 miles south we came across Keith. We are still not sure what we saw but it is the Biggest Whatever for sure.

He says it started out as a recumbent trike that he welded onto some kind of nursery cart with a trailer on the back of that. He sits and pedals on the bike and steers with the ropes attached to the bars of the trike.

Say what??

He says it weighs quite a bit less than 800 lbs. He carries 3 months worth of food because you never know when your gonna need three month worth of food. He had quite a stack of girlie mags safely tucked under a stack of 5 or 6 bibles because you never know what someone else may need along the way.

I looked underneath for a motor and drive train and didn't see one. He says he isn't above getting a tow up any pass. This is his fourth trip around the western U.S. and now he is headed for Washington.

The wheel on top is so he can unhitch the bike and ride into town if he gets low on something. Can't imagine what that could be.

Heck of nice guy. I can't imagine what all he had under there but I still think there is a motor in there somewhere.

Whoa!
